OCFD RUN TOTALS

The Ocean City Fire Department provides all Fire and EMS in the City of Ocean City. One BLS ambulance is staffed by 1 civilian EMT-D and one duel role Firefighter/EMT-D the 2nd BLS ambulance is staffed by 2 duel role Firefighter/EMT-D's. 

All Engine Companies carry AED's and respond on ALS criteria calls. The numbers shown are broken down into Fire and Ambulance calls. The OCFD uses NFIRS computer based reporting, as the State of New Jersey has no standard reporting for EMS, the numbers shown are from the system used locally.

Using AED equipped Engines out of 3 Stations, one north (Headquarters), one central (Station Two) and one south (Station Three) allows the Fire Department to provide Fire or EMS service with an average response time of 2.2 minutes 24 hours a day. This rapid response time on Cardiac Arrest calls provides a save rate of greater then 35% one of the highest in the state.
